I played here July 10th. First time in years. I play about 40 rounds a year and enjoy the many tracks Bellingham has to offer. I wasn't going to write a review as I rarely ever take the time and I'm pretty laid back. As I started to think over the last 2 weeks about what happened I felt compelled to let other golfers know. My buddy and I drove our cart up to the 1st tee. We started talking about whether to play the blues or greens (whites). The starter, late 50's to early 60's, told us we shouldn't play the blues. Very unfriendly demeanor. I told him we normally play blues just about every course we play. He asked what my handicap was. I told him 6.1. He proceeded to tell me even scratch golfers don't play blues there. I was speechless. I finally recovered from that ridiculous statemen't he'd made and told him we're going to play blues. He then told us we couldn't play the blues. I looked at him waiting for a smile like this is some big joke but his face was dead serious. I proceeded to walk to the blue tees and hit my drive. Looked back at him and smiled. He was shaking his head like I'd just broken one of the ten commandments (thou shalt not disobey the starter must be #11). Defi

I have played course this many times. I have nothing but good things to say about the course, the staff, and the restaurant. I especially enjoy the layout with two different 9s, the front 9 with minimal terrain and then a wander through the forest on the back 9. I would definitely recommend this layout to anyone who enjoys golf.

Played an early AM solo round this morning for my first time here. Course was in excellent condition all around - really nothing to even nitpick - the crew does a great job here with fine attention to detail. It is plenty challenging without being ridiculous, lots of tight tree lined playing corridors, but a short straight hitter like me has a chance at a good score if playing the appropriate tees. Great views and scenery on many holes. Gentleman in the pro shop was very welcoming and helpful. Overall a good value for the money and I look forward to playing it again the next time I am in the area.

Honestly as far as the course goes it’s a great layout (about the only thing going for it). Secondly, the greens need a lot of help….bald spots everywhere good luck making a put from some places on about half of the greens. Thirdly, we teed off 10 minutes early and the starter came around in hole 2 and told us to pick up the pace?!?? We were already 10 minutes ahead of pace and ended up finishing 45 minutes before pace. Starter made us feel rushed from the get go and kept the pressure on us first 5 holes so we all played fairly poor. Also, he wouldn’t let the group (our friends) behind us play from the tips and gave the group behind them (also friends) crud for playing from the greens and tried telling them they can’t. Who does that? Isn’t that what they are there for? Next he had the audacity to tell us to make sure we take a group photo on the water hole (#5) …..we didn’t take one as that was very contradictory to his statement the hole before and we worried it would take too much time. For $114 for the round, sleeve and half cart I’ll take a hard pass next time anyone brings up Sudden Valley. Not to mention we had 3 groups of 4 total spent well over $1000 not including food a

This course is a beauty. Very playable front 9 and a very different but equally as enjoyable back 9. Tees, fairways and greens were all in good condition. Also, the breakfast burrito was terrific! Would loved to have seen a course marshall out there to keep up the pace of play. Had a painfully slow group in front of us that wouldn’t let us play through and had fallen 2-3 holes behind the group in front of them.
